Yes, all our taps are designed for 35 MM tap hole, which is the standard.
Yamataro boiling tap offer a 5 Year Warranty on all their filtered water taps and 2 Year warranty on the Boiler.
The Warranty on your tap starts from day of purchase. If you are not installing your tap shortly after purchasing, then we are unable to extent the warranty as we cannot monitor all our customers. If you do have a specific date for installation, then you can arrange for your purchase to remain at our warehouse until the required date. This way your warranty will not be affected.
Yes, The Yamataro Tap will dispense normal Hot and Cold water like your current tap. Depending on the model that you choose it will also dispense filtered boiling hot water (3 in 1) or filtered boiling and cold water (4 in 1) as an extra function.
Yes, You will also need to fix the filter housing to the side or back of the cupboard. The height of the filter housing is 31cm and diameter is 6mm. It can be hung in the cabinet.
Our boilers are 19cm wide, 19cm deep and 26.5cm tall.
The standard cupboard size is 600mm, which is sufficient.
A boiling water tap uses a boiler tank that is installed below the sink and plugged into your mains, maintaining a constant supply of piping-hot water. When you turn the boiling water handle on the tap, the water is released from the tank and is delivered instantly to your sink.
All of our taps come with a 2.4L boiler tank included in the price, which is compact enough to fit into the majority of kitchen cupboards – 2.4 litres of water is roughly 7-8 cups and the tank takes around 4 minutes to reheat. We will have 5 liter boiler soon. Larger tanks require more space, of course, which can be difficult to manage in a small kitchen.
Despite being powered electronically, the boiling water tap’s tank is insulated against heat loss, which makes it energy-efficient. Maintaining water at a high temperature also requires surprisingly little energy compared to boiling water from cool, as kettles do. If you use the kettle multiple times every day, a boiling water tap is unlikely to cause any increases in your daily energy use.

**What is a pull out boiling boiling water tap?**
A ‘pull out boiling’ boiling water tap has a pull-out spout, which you can use to move the flow of water around your kitchen sink. This can be a 3-in-1 or a 4-in-1 tap. For safety reasons, many ‘pull out boiling’ taps won’t allow you to use the boiling water function when the spout is pulled out.
**What temperature does a boiling water tap run at?**
Our boiling water taps deliver up to 98°C water, which makes for a more efficient system as less water is lost as steam. Our touch-screen tanks come with 5 temperature presets: 75°C, 85°C, 90°C, 95°C and 98°C. This means you can customize your tap to your desired setting.
**Should I turn off my boiling tap at night?**
No, there is a setting for night sleep mode for the boiler. Please read the manual and make the setting as you like for the sleep hours. This will save some energy every day.
**I’m going on holiday – should I turn my tap off?**
For holidays of 7 days or less, we would recommend leaving it on. If you are going away for longer, you may wish to switch your tap off to save energy. To do this, you can simply switch the tank off using the touch-screen and then turn it off on the wall. When you return, we recommend draining the tank completely and allowing it to refill.
**Are boiling water taps expensive to run?**
We have designed our boiling water taps to be extremely energy-efficient, costing less than 10p a day to run. The greatest saving, however, is time. With a boiling water tap, you’ll no longer have to wait for the kettle to boil or juggle multiple kettles of water.
Kettles cost a few pence per boil, which means they may cost more to run if they’re used multiple times a day.
**Are boiling taps environmentally friendly?**
Built using advanced hardware, our boiling water taps use very little energy to heat the water within the tank. A heavily insulated tank also ensures little energy is required to keep the water at high temperatures. What’s more, our 4-in-1 taps remove the need for expensive and environmentally damaging bottled water, offering pure chilled water on tap, whenever you need it.
**How do you install a boiling tap?**
It’s a relatively simple process to install a boiling water tap, requiring just a few tools and basic DIY/plumbing skills. The job becomes more complex if you need to fit a new plug socket – we recommend you hire an electrician in this instance.
Your tap will come with a detailed installation guide for you or somebody else to follow. In basic terms, you will need to:
1. Fit your tap to the kitchen sink
2. Fit the boiler tank in the cupboard below your sink
3. Connect the tank to the provided filter and then your mains water supply
4. Connect the tap to the tank
5. Allow the tank to fill with water.
6. Plug the tank in on the wall and turn it on to heat up (this may take up to 10 minutes the first time)
7. Test each water function by turning the handles
8. Enjoy!
**Do you need a plumber to install a boiling water tap?**
It’s not necessary to hire a plumber to install a boiling water tap, however, if you have little DIY or plumbing knowledge we do recommend seeking professional help. Equally, if your installation requires a new plug to be fitted, we also suggest seeking a tradesman.

Yes, the Yamataro Tap is very simple to install. Our taps come with instructions and diagrams to show you the installation process.
All the parts required for the installation are included in your package. You will also require a Philips & flat head screwdriver and X2 adjustable spanners.
Yes, The Yamataro Tap can be installed on any work surface. However, please consider that the Triangular cushion and washers that are used under the work surface to tighten the tap down require a solid base to be tightened to. If the underneath of your work surface is soft this may need to be cut away to create a solid base to clamp the Yamataro Tap down to.
Our filters are designed to remove unwanted minerals and chemicals from the system, reducing the build-up of limescale and prolonging the life of your boiler tank and tap. To ensure your filter works at maximum efficiency, we recommend changing your filter every 6 months.
Yes, a boiling water tap is simple to maintain. Besides changing the filter every 6 months, you will need to do little to keep it running smoothly. We do recommend checking the fittings every few weeks just to make sure everything is secure and is working as it should. If you do experience any problems, we suggest you get in touch as soon as possible.
Use a soft cloth with warm water and a light detergent.

Yes, our taps are designed with safety in mind. The spring-loaded mechanism prevents little ones from accessing boiling water, while also switching the boiling water function off when you move away from the sink. What’s more, at 98°C, the near-boiling water is dispensed in a steady stream without spluttering.
Our taps are safer than kettles for a few reasons:
1. They can’t be moved around the room, unlike a kettle
2. They don’t become hot to the touch, unlike a kettle
3. They have a spring-loaded mechanism to prevent children from accessing boiling water
To keep your Verana product running smoothly and to ensure your warranty stays valid, please follow these essential guidelines:
**Regular Filter Changes:**
– **Every 6 Months:** Change your filters every 6 months.
– **Hard Water Areas:** If you live in a hard water area, change your filters every 3 months.
**Check Your Water Type:**
– Find out if your area has hard water by checking with your local water authority or using a home test kit.
**Approved Filters Only:**
– **Where to Buy:** Always purchase your filters directly from Verana or our partner, Hanstrom.
– **Warranty Notice:** Using filters from other sources will void your warranty and may damage your boiler.
– Non-approved filters can harm your system and warranty will be voided.
At Yamataro, your satisfaction is our priority. If you need a replacement for a tap or boiler, we provide an additional warranty on the replacement item to give you peace of mind.
**Replacement Warranty Extension**
– **Expired Warranty:** If your original warranty has expired, your replacement item will come with a 3-month warranty starting from the date you receive the replacement.
– **Active Warranty:** If your original warranty is still active, the replacement will carry over the remaining warranty period.
Each tap model has different dimensions. Please check the product description for each product.
Even if you have good water pressure, it is advisable to do an actual test, so you have an accurate bar reading. Water Pressure gauges can be purchased online. Below is an example of the Pressure gauge we would suggest.
This needs to be done at source, meaning you need to screw this into the hot water pipe in your kitchen, most likely to be located under your sink, which connects to our tap pipes. The below diagram shows an example of the set up and step by step procedure for testing the pressure.
1. Turn off the hot water pipe by twisting the handle attached to hose 2.
2. Disconnect hose 2 from the hot water pipe.
3. Screw the pressure gauge onto the hot water pipe.
4. Turn the hot tap back on and the pressure should increase.
– Check the min. Pressure required for each tap.
– If you have a combi boiler, we suggest you contact your heating engineer to see if he can increase the flow.
– If you have a tank fed system, you can purchase a water pump which can be fitted to the hot water tank.
The minimum water pressure required for the Yamataro Boiling Tap is 1.5 Bar. Most residential homes will have 1.5 bar of pressure already. If you are in doubt you can ask a plumber to measure this before.
Our boilers all run off a standard UK 3 pin 13 amp plug. The power cable for the boiler is 1.5 metres long so you will require a plug socket within about 1 metre of the boiler.
